Sebelumnya, korban tenggelam saat sedang bermain kapal-kapalan berbahan sterofoam di pinggir dermaga. Tiba-tiba sterofoam tersebut patah dan korban ternggelam, Jumat (26/1/2024) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB.
Di hari keempat ini, Senin (29/1/2024). Petugas Basarnas Lampung telah mencari korban sejauh 10,6 nautical miles (NM) ke arah timur dari lokasi bocah tenggelam.
“Untuk hari ke 4 ini kita melakukan pencarian sejauh 10,6 nautical miles atau 10,6 nautical miles ke arah timur,” ujar Komandan tim Basarnas Lampung Heri Ansoni.
Heri mengaku, jika selama 7 hari pencarian namun hasilnya nihil, maka pencarian terhadap korban pun terpaksa akan dihentikan.

“Dalam standar operasional (SOP) Basarnas jika pencarian korban selama 7 hari tak ditemukan maka akan dihentikan,” katanya.
“Tapi akan ditambah waktu pencariannya jika ada tanda-tanda dari korban,” timpalnya
Dalam pencarian korban jelasnya, pihaknya menggunakan 3 robor bod dari BPBD dan Basarnas, serta satu rep dari Basarnas.
“Upaya pencarian hari ini kita mencoba ke area yang memungkinkan korban ditemukan, dan penyelaman juga kita lakukan,” jelas dia
Untuk saat ini terangnya, kesulitan pencarian hari ini yaitu angin kecil, dan gelombang laut tinggi.
“Dugaan sementara kemungkinan korban nyangkut di jaringan, atau terbawa arus ke luar,” kata dia.
Ia juga menambahkan, tim gabungan yang mencari korban ada 150 personil yang terdiri dari BPBD, Basarnas, PMI, Damkar dan lainnya. (Hendri)
