Di mana, diketahui bahwa sebelumnya Hokky Caraka mengirim sebuah pesan mengenai riuh pelaksanaan Piala Dunia U-30 2023 di Indonesia melalui caption di sebuah postingan Instagramnya.
“Berjuang demi kemerdekaan negara lain, namun kalian semua menghancurkan impian anak bangsa. Mimpi yang indah teman, sampai jumpa lagi,” kata Hokky melalui Instagram-nya pada Selasa, 28 Maret 2023.

Unggahan Hokky pun viral dan membuat gaduh para warganet di media sosial. Sejumlah pihak merespons positif, namun tidak jarang yang mengkritik sikap sang pemain.
“Gak bisa bayangin sedihnya anak Timnas Indonesia U-20,” ketik salah satu warganet merespons pesan Hokky.
lanjut Ketum PSSI Erick Thohir, ia memberikan pesan menohok kepada seseorang melalui unggahan akun media sosial Instagramnya.

“Hokky, selama saya masih ada, InsyaAllah tidak ada yang bisa menghancurkan mimpi kamu, mimpi saya, mimpi kita semua. Semoga lancar ikhtiar ini dan membawa hasil baik,” ungkap Erick Thohir melalui Instagram-nya.
Selanjutnya setelah viralnya pesan tersebut, Indonesia dikabarkan batal menjadi tuan rumah Piala Dunia U-20 tahun 2023. Hal tersebut sembari diiringi pernyataan Ketum PSSI, Erick Thohir.
