Sementara Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Kepala Bidang Pendidikan Dasar Mulyadi Syukri, S.Sos, mengaku bahwa persoalan pada kedua kakan beradik yang dikabarkan putus sekolah kini sudah diselesaikan pihaknya bersama unsur dari RT, kelurahan, dan kecamatan setempat.
Hasil musyawarah bersama, kedua kakak beradik tersebut akan kembali bersekolah di sekolah yang paling dekat dengan tempat tinggal kedua orangtua anak tersebut. Kepengurusan kepindahan akan dilakukan pada Senin, 18 September 2023.
“Senin akan diurus kepindahan untuk dua kakak beradik tersebut. Sekolah tujuan sudah dihubungi. Insyaallah akan dipindahkan di SD Negeri 1 Way kandis. Itulah sekolah yang paling dekat, sehingga anak cukup berjalan kaki ke sekolah,” katanya.
Mulyadi juga menyesalkan atas pemberitaan yang berkembang menyangkut putusnya sekolah pada dua kakak beradik tersebut. Ia berharap pemberitaan yang tidak benar tersebut tidak kembali terulang di dunia pendidikan khususnya Kota Bandar Lampung.
“Ada-ada saja pemberitaan ini. Pemerintah Kota Bandar Lampung tidak mungkin membiarkan anak untuk putus sekolah karena pemerintah sudah berkomitmen dan menjamin anak usia sekolah harus bersekolah,” kata dia. (***)
