    Pengacara terdakwa suap penerimaan mahasiswa baru, Sopian Sitepu saat diwawancarai usai sidang perdana kliennya di PN Tanjungkarang, Selasa (10/01/2023)

    Bechannel – Kuasa hukum terdakwa kasus dugaan tindak pidana korupsi suap penerimaan mahasiswa baru UNILA dengan terdakwa Wakil Rektor I Heryandi, tidak mengajukan eksepsi atau keberatan.

    Hal itu disampaikan oleh kuasa hukum terdakwa Heryandi, Sopian Sitepu bahwa pihaknya tidak mengajukan esepsi atau keberatan terkait sidang perdana yang digelar di PN Tanjungkarang, Selasa (10/01/2023).

    “Kita sudah menyatakan tidak mengajukan eksepsi,” kata Sopian Sitepu usai mengikuti proses persidang an perdana kliennya tersebut.

    Dalam surat dakwaan JPU KPK bahwa kliennya saat diperiksa sebagai saksi dan terdakwa tidak menyangkut soal uang yaitu jumlah uang dan penerimaan uang oleh kliennya.

    “Oleh karena itu, menurut kami itulah yang memberatkan beliau sehingga nanti kami akan koreksi saat pemeriksaan saksi yang disebutkan nama oleh beliau,”jelasnya.

    Dalam kesempatan itu, Sopian Sitepu juga meminta agar nama nama para mahasiswa tidak disebutkan secara lengkap dan dipublis sebab bisa mengganggu para mahasiswa yang bersangkutan.

    Oleh karena itu mohon dilindungi orang orang atau adek adek mahasiswa itu karena dakwaan perlu di buktikan dan belum kebenarannya sementara yang disebutkan namanya sudah terganggu dalam proses belajar mengajar,”ujarnya. (AMR)
